First record the video by typing in the console: record "something", then when you are finished, start fraps and type in the consol playdemo "something" (It works for me, there are better ways but i don't know them).

Playing demo from test.dem. ERROR: couldn't open.................... Why it couldn‚t open

1. Start new game.
2. In the console you type: record 1
3. Then after time when you finished plaing exit the new game.
4. Start fraps.
5. In the console you type: playdemo 1
6. Then you wait till it records.

Tell me if it worked.
